Success on the Niuean Stage – Polyfest 2025

Congratulations to all of our amazing winners of the Niuean Group.

Onehunga High School proudly placed 3rd overall in the Niuean stage performances at this year’s ASB Polyfest. This result recognises the strength of our junior and senior group items — from choreography to song, and cultural storytelling. It reflects the hard work, discipline, and cultural pride of every student involved, and the dedication of their tutors and supporters.

Outstanding results:

- 🥇 1st place in Kamataaga (entrance song)

- 🥇 1st place in Ta Me (action song)

- 🥇 1st place in traditional costumes overall 

- 🥇 1st place in male student leader: Marconi Sifaheone Y13

- 🥇 2nd place in female student leader: Litrunette Inu Y13

- 🥇 2nd place in Fakaotiaga 

- 🥇 3rd place in Meke 

3rd place overall in the big schools competition 

🎤 Niuean Speech Competition – Outstanding Results

  • 1st Place: 🥇 Overall Junior speeches competition: Rhyston Toeono Y9

  • 1st Place: 🥇 Senior Male speeches competition: Damarian Aka Keukeu Y13

  • Overall Senior Speech Winner: 🏆 Damarian Aka-Keukeu (Onehunga High School)
