Student Councils play an important role in representing the student body at OHS.

The school has six councils: Academic, Arts, Cultural, Hauora, Services, and Sports. Each council is led by prefect leaders and supported by staff, ensuring strong guidance and direction.

Every year level has representatives in each council, allowing for diverse student voices to be heard. The councils advocate for student interests, propose initiatives, and implement improvements to enhance the overall student experience. These highly sought-after positions provide students with valuable opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, and decision-making skills.
