First Full School Assembly.

First Full School Assembly.

The first full school assembly was held in the gym on Monday.

The growth in the school roll was evident from the large number of students in the gym.

This was an opportunity to come together as one whānau and have new staff and the prefect team introduced and welcomed to the school community.

The Principal Ms. Shameen Hayat spoke to students about the values of respect, resilience, integrity, and excellence that are integral to everything we do at OHS. Ms. Hayat encouraged every student to take up all the opportunities available to them at OHS.

Senior students were congratulated on their impressive 2024 NCEA results, which were considerably better than previous years. The results are a testament to the hard work of students, the high calibre of teaching, and the support of whānau, who have engaged fully with the school. We are delighted with the results and determined to continue this upward trajectory.

There was a positive energy in the assembly, as we have much to celebrate as we begin this academic year.
