The school has come alive for 2025. The Year 9 cohort was welcomed with a Pōwhiri and spent their first day learning what it means to be a member of the Onehunga High School Community.
Principal, Shameen Hayat welcomed students, staff, and whānau to the school. Ms. Hayat spoke of the school's proud history and emphasised that our newest students represented our future. Ms. Hayat encouraged every student to make the most of all the academic, sporting, cultural, and leadership opportunities available at OHS.
OHS is a school that values respect, resilience, integrity and excellence, our WAKA values.
Teachers, deans, student leaders, counsellors, nurses, and support staff are here to support all students. The partnership between the school and home is important. We are a team and together, we will strive to ensure every student is supported to achieve their goals.
We are excited to begin this journey.
