Come and Support Market Day.

Come and Support Market Day.

Level 2 and 3 Business students are holding a Market Day this Wednesday 7th August from 3pm-6.30.

Students are working very hard to get their products ready for market. There is a hive of activity as groups put the finishing touches to products and packaging. This is an important requirement for their NCEA assessments, which require students to sell their products and get important market feedback. This will inform future decisions on their marketing and product design and placement.

Students have said that, “the hardest thing has been getting agreement between all the group members, first for what our product should be and then how we should make it.” Others commented that, ”it wasn’t easy when not everyone in your group is working as hard as you would like”. Not only have these students learnt what it takes to get a product to market, but they have experienced how important communication and collaboration are in developing a good team environment.

Please come and support students by bringing your cash and purchasing one of their products. There will be plants, candles, soap for your dog, tote bags, wax wraps, stands for your jewelry, charcuterie boards, pre-mixed cookie jars, chili sauce, baked goods, tea mixes and a sausage sizzle.

See you there!
