The last full school assembly for the term was held on Thursday to celebrate the achievements of many of our students in a number of areas.
Principal Ms Hayat addressed the school and reminded students that as we neared the end of term, it was important to uphold our values of respect and resilience. It is important to respect yourself, so that you can show respect to others and to the environment.
The OHS Kapa haka group performed and honoured Matariki. The Big Sing Squad had us all in their thrall with a beautiful rendition of ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ by Elvis Presley.
Well done to all of the students who were awarded OHS badges. It was especially pleasing to see so many Year 13 students presented with Gold Academic badges. Congratulations to Cameron Ross, who was honoured with a Platinum Academic Badge.
