Big Sing Delights.

Big Sing Delights.

The OHS Choir prefers to be called 'Sing Squad', they attended the Big Sing choral festival at the Town Hall yesterday.

The festival takes place in ten centres around the country and involves 8000 students from over 200 schools. In the competitive section, the choirs compete to be selected for Cadenza festivals and then the National Finale.

The OHS 'Sing Squad' performed in the non-competitive section, as it was the first time the school had attended the festival. Students thoroughly enjoyed the experience of performing on the stage at the Town Hall. It was exciting to be part of the event where they were able to showcase their talent and enjoy the performances of others. The Sing Squad gave a wonderful performance of ’Can’t Help Falling In Love’ by Elvis Presley. Their musicianship, stage presence and voice production was outstanding. Their harmonies were flawless. The students were delighted when a judge singled them out for well deserved praise.

Congratulations to all singers and to Ms Tolentino for all the hard work that went into preparing for this event. Special thanks to our choir director, Ms Lilia Carpinelli for her unwavering passion that got our singers up on stage!
