Hosting a dinner for the Maungakiekie Rotary members is always a pleasure.
Last night students from Food and Hospitality, planned, prepared, cooked and served a meal of exceptional quality. The young chefs produced three main course options and three delectable dessert options that would sit quite easily on a restaurant menu. TWK had been transformed, the table settings were beautiful and the student waitstaff were professional.
The evening was hosted by Head Prefects Magdalene Ieremia-Apelu and Ross Cameron, who welcomed guests and thanked The Rotary Club for their generous support of our school, especially their support for students attending the Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA). Prefects Hannah Hamilton- Ralph and Rylee Williams who both attended MUNA this year gave an account of the experience and expressed how much they had learned about the countries they represented and the role of the United Nations and how it worked.
Principal Shameen Hayat welcomed the Rotary members to the school and added her thanks for their support of the school and their interest in our young people.
Sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr Ryan Thom, Mrs Shital Wati, Ms Karen Coleman and their talented students who provided another sensational dining experience.
