The weather was awful but this did not deter our staff and students, who delivered a taste of OHS to our guests, who braved stormy wind, rain and hail to attend the first of our two Open Days.
Prospective students and their families were guided around the school by prefects to meet teachers and students, have a look at the work being done in departments and have their questions answered.
Food and Hospitality students provided delicious pizza, the Performing Arts department was alive with theatresports and singing and the students who attended in departments, represented OHS with intelligence and pride. The state of the art science labs impressed guests, many of whom commented they looked quite different from what they remembered from their school days’!
Thank you to all the staff and students involved, in particular Aria Dolleweerd for being our MC and Head Prefect, Cameron Ross for speaking. Lily Shultz and Shea Mendis did an awesome job representing Year 9 students.
The final Open Day will be held on Wednesday 24th July. We cordially invite all prospective students and their families to attend.
