OHS had two bands perform to an enthusiastic audience at the annual Rockquest Competition at the weekend.

Congratulations to the Year 9 members of the band ‘Overtaken’, Liam Herbert, Toren Paston, and Xavier White and to the Year 13 members of ‘Aria’s Circus’, Aria Van Dolleweerd, Peter Muller, Cameron Ross, Elliot Wyness, Felix Grange and Jarvis Skilling who competed with 90 other bands in the Central Auckland Heats of the annual Smokefree Rockquest competition.

The bands entertained with confidence and great stage presence. The judges commented “Good on-stage energy, good vocal control, catchy high energy riffs, band plays tight together, set their band apart with the addition of the trombone, good vibes, good intensity.”
