Dorothy Dinesh Shares Her Journey.

Dorothy Dinesh Shares Her Journey.

It was lovely to meet OHS Alumna Dorothy Dinesh, who visited the school last week.

Dorothy attended OHS from 1984-1988 and was Dux in 1988. Dorothy’s initial career plan was to study nursing however, her sixth form (Year 12) chemistry teacher suggested she should go to university, so Dorothy applied and got into Medical School at Auckland University. Dorothy moved to Wellington over 20 years ago. Dorothy is working as a specialist in Internal Medicine at Wellington Hospital and has a teaching role, teaching medical students’ clinical skills. Even though her job can be very stressful Dorothy loves it and would encourage all students to have the confidence to follow their dreams. We have no doubt that both her patients and students are very fortunate to have her.

Dorothy was amazed by the school and all its new facilities, ‘’it is quite different to how it was when I attended in the 1980’s”.

Thank you for sharing your story with us Dorothy.
