Service Council Leaders Visit Cancer Research Centre.

Service Council Leaders Visit Cancer Research Centre.

Hannah Hamilton-Ralph 13To and Rylee Williams 13Co who are both members of the Service Council had the rare opportunity to go to the Auckland Cancer Society’s Research Centre and Domain Lodge today.

Leaders of the Service Council, Hannah Hamilton-Ralph and Rylee Williams, attended a rare opportunity to visit the Auckland Society Research Centre and Domain Lodge. The tour was an eye opener - the students got to see cancer research in action.

Hannah and Rylee report: The team over in Grafton are amazing. They were extremely welcoming and very thankful for any fundraising that helps them carry out the research that could potentially help so many cancer sufferers. Their work is funded independently, this means they receive no funding from the Government or any other organisation. Our Relay for Life and all the others contribute to the work they do, which is huge for them!

We are eager to raise funds for this impactful cause and can confidently say, everything we are fundraising for is so worth it"
