Never has learning the concepts of mechanical physics seemed more interesting to the Year 13 physics class, as it did at Rainbow’s end .
Students explored the practical application of mechanical physics concepts in amusement park rides. They worked in groups to investigate how rides such as the rollercoaster, freefall, bumper boats and dodgems make use of physics concepts to ensure safety while ensuring patrons experience thrilling rides.
This transferring of concepts from theory to practical is invaluable preparation for their external assessment in Mechanics.
