Onehunga High School Welcomes Scott Collins

Onehunga High School Welcomes Scott Collins

Onehunga High School welcomes Scott Collins who joins us as Director of Sport, taking over from Chad Coombes.

We are thrilled to have engaged Scott who has had a long history of developing sporting potential in schools and for the Auckland, Northland and Wellington based rugby unions.

Scott introduces himself:

Ko Waitangi te awa,Ko Ahuahu te maunga,Ko Ngatokimatawhaorua te waka,Ko Ngapuhi te iwi,Ko Scott Collins tōku ingoa.

I am excited to be joining the Onehunga High School whānau as the new Director of Sport. I have spent 15 years working in the sports’ industry, namely in Rugby in the Blues and Hurricanes regions. I look forward to the challenge ahead of me, as I look to build on what has been created by Mr Coombes during his tenure at the school.

Sports has been a passion for me throughout my life whether as a player, coach or in a supporting role and I hope to use this passion to connect, inspire and encourage better outcomes for the student athletes at local, regional and national levels.
