To start the enrolment process please complete the enrolment form (tab below) and upload copies of the required documents.
In order for the enrolment process to proceed, all the required documents MUST be provided.
Required documents:
- Birth Certificate - Bring the original to the enrolment interview.
- The most recent school report
- Passport (if not born in New Zealand)
- Immunisation Certificate (from Well-child book or doctor)
- In-Zone Enrolments - Proof of Address (recent power / rates account)
- In-Zone Enrolments - Statutory Declaration form

Enrolling your child for Year 9 in 2026 at OHS is easy, please follow the 3 step process.
STEP 1: Online Application Form
Complete the enrolment application online (tab above). Remember to attach all relevant documents to support your application and answer all of the questions.
STEP 2: Enrolment Interview
All Year 9 in-zone applications are required to attend an enrolment interview at the school with a member of the Senior Leadership Team or a Dean. Do come with your child to the front reception for the interview. You do not need to book a time. Make sure you have completed the online application beforehand. During the interview we will share key information about OHS, answer your questions.
We are running the interviews at the following times and they should last approximately 15 minutes:
- Saturday 23th August 10.00-2.00pm
- OR
- Thursday 28th August 9.00am-6.30pm
STEP 3: Confirmation of your place
You can confirm your place at OHS during the enrolment interview or / and we will write to you after the interview asking that all in-zone places are confirmed by 12 September. Confirmation by this date is important so we can plan for your arrival in 2026.

Each year we have a limited number of out-of-zone places determined by the Board of Trustees. Places are allocated via a ballot system.
To be entered into the 2025 ballot for a 2026 enrolment, complete the application process as above, using the online enrolment procedure as in-zone students, except you do not need to provide the in-zone statutory declaration.
Please note that incomplete applications will NOT be processed.
Application closing date for applications is: Wednesday 27 August 2025
Ballot date: Wednesday 3 September 2025.
The outcome of the ballot will be communicated within three days of it taking place.
